It’s a ride, not a race!
Tour de Nash is a casual and fun way to explore Nashville on two wheels at a “party pace” — a leisurely pace that promotes conversation with fellow riders and encourages stops at destinations and rest stops along the way. Tour de Nash 2025 drew over 1,100 registered riders and drew road bikes, cruiser bikes, e-cargo bikes, tandem bikes, recumbent bikes, and everything in between. It’s a great way to try city or group riding for the first time, and experienced riders can take on the 45-Mile Grand Tour!

Frequently Asked Questions
Registration Questions
When and where do I register?
Click here to register! Note that ticket prices increase and promo codes are not valid after May 9.
What is included with my registration?
This is Walk Bike Nashville's biggest fundraiser of the year, and your registration helps support our work to make Nashville more walkable, bikeable, and livable for all. You will receive a rider packet that includes your ride number, T-shirt (not included with free registration), and materials from our sponsors and partners.
On event day, riders enjoy a marked route, signage, and cue sheet to help you navigate the route. Rest stops along the way will provide water, snacks, and bike mechanics, plus rider support vehicles will be on call in the event that you need to be picked up.
I am a Walk Bike Nashville member. How will I receive my discount code?
Discount codes were sent via email on April 6, 2026. If you have not received a code, or if you became a member after this date contact Communications and Marketing Manager Cole Villena, at [email protected]. Save on registration — or get an entirely free ticket — by becoming a Walk Bike Nashville member today!

We'll have staff and volunteers ready for you. If you're driving, there's no need to park. Just pull up to the tent, and we'll serve you drive-thru style.
If you are not able to collect your rider materials during these times, please do so after your ride on May 16. There will be no packet pick-up available the morning of the ride. As Tour de Nash is an untimed event, you will not be penalized for riding without a number. Thank you for helping us provide a smooth pre-ride experience!
Packet pickup is also your chance to collect any T-shirts you ordered if you aren’t riding. If you ordered a Tour de Nash jersey, it will be shipped to you directly from Hincapie Sportswear.
What if I'm coming from out of town and can't make your packet pick-up times?
If you have a friend also riding in Tour de Nash or know someone that lives in town, please have them pick up your packet for you. If there is no way for you to get your packet or have a friend pick it up, please contact Cole Villena at [email protected], and we will help you work something out.
I bought a T-shirt, but I’m not riding on May 16. How do I get my shirt?
Join us at packet pickup (see above) or come to our info tent following Tour de Nash.
I'm a beginner rider. Which route is right for me?
The 3-Mile City Tour is designed to be a fun, scenic introduction to riding a bike in the city! We’ll block off our route to cars and have security officers posted at intersections. You'll enjoy cruising down car-free streets and greenways with plenty of local businesses and sites to visit along the way.

What should I bring?
Riders should bring a helmet, an ID, a method to navigate the route (such as a cue sheet or an app like Ride with GPS), and plenty of water. This blog post has other helpful items to consider.
What kind of bike can I ride?
We love all bikes! We've had people ride on tandem bikes, e-bikes, recumbent bikes... All are welcome.
I reserved a BCycle rental at registration. Where do I pick it up?
BCycle will provide reserved bikes to Tour de Nash riders at their station at First Avenue and Broadway next to the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
Is there a post-ride party this year?
Yes! Stick around for Open Streets Downtown, a car-free block party which uses many of the same streets from our Tour de Nash routes!
What if it rains?
Unless there is a threat of severe weather, Tour de Nash is a rain-or-shine event. We’ll be having fun in the sun or riding through some puddles! Any changes to start times will be communicated via rider emails and on our social pages.
Route Questions
How do I navigate the route?
Markings for the route will mostly be spray painted on the street, with some signage. There will be three markings indicating an upcoming turn, then a confirmation marking after you turn to indicate you’ve made the correct turn. If you come to an intersection and there is no marking, you are to ride straight ahead through the intersection. We also recommend using a cue sheet or downloading the GPS file from our website.
Road markings will look like this:

Note that the City Tour uses yellow markings for added visibility on the route. City Tour riders will still pick up medals with green ribbons at the finish line!
On the greenways, look for directional signs rather than road markings. Signs will look similar to this:

Will there be rest stops along the route?
Yes! Riders on the 25-Mile Local Tour and 45-Mile Grand Tour can visit a rest stop every 10-15 miles along the two longer routes. Rest stops can provide water, snacks, restrooms, volunteers to help answer questions, and basic bicycle maintenance equipment.
Rest stops are viewable on Google Maps and Ride with GPS.
Will there be water?
Yes. Water refills will be provided at all rest stops, but we recommend coming with at least two bottles for yourself.
Following reports from Tour de Nash 2025 riders that some rest stops ran out of water, we've ordered more bottled water and secured faster refills for riders in 2026.
Will there be route security? Are the roads closed to cars?
Yes, there will be route security. On the two longer routes, security officers will be positioned at certain intersections, but most roads will still be open to cars. You must still follow all rules of the road and behave as a vehicle in accordance with the law. You can watch this video to refresh yourself on some Bicycling Basics.
On the 3-Mile City Tour, security officers will be posted at every intersection to control traffic flow on the cross streets.
What does “car-free” mean?
The 3-Mile City Tour offers a car-free route for riders. While the entire street will be closed to cars, signalized intersections will see cross-traffic from cars. To make it as easy as possible for riders to navigate, security guards will be stationed at every intersection to provide traffic control for cyclists. Riders should obey traffic signals unless a security guard instructs you to do otherwise.
What do I do if I get lost, I need assistance, or I'm unable to complete the ride?
We will have medics throughout the routes and an ambulance on standby, but for all emergencies, please call 911 first. Notify a volunteer at a rest stop or a security officer if there is one nearby. If not, call 615-928-8801 to get support from event staff. Note that ride support and rest stops end at 1:00 p.m. — please plan accordingly.
I want to ride a longer route, but I don't know how to prepare.
