Munyette Moore, President

EVP of Operations at International Scholarship and Tuition Services

Munyette Moore currently serves in the role of Executive Vice President of Operations at International Scholarship and Tuition Services, ISTS. Munyette leads multiple departments to maximize operational performance. She came to ISTS in 2018 with 20+ years of experience leading teams and initiatives as well as a history of success in managing a portfolio of clients to meet their goals and objectives. Her strengths in problem solving, strategic planning, and driving results support the mission of Walk Bike Nashville as a member of the Board of Directors. Munyette’s hobbies include attending fashion events, utilizing her general contractor’s license, and spending time with her family.

 

Joshua Thomas, President Elect

Senior Counsel at Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County

Josh Thomas is Senior Counsel in the Department of Law of Metropolitan Nashville Government, where he leads the Fiscal Administration team that provides legal counsel to Metro departments on financial matters. Prior to working for Metro, Josh served as Managing Attorney of the Columbia office of the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, a private nonprofit law firm that provides free legal representation to indigent clients in civil and administrative legal matters. Josh is a graduate of Yale College and Vanderbilt Law School.

 

Scot Hawthorne, Treasurer

Vice President, Head of CRM Strategy & Sales Enablement at Alliance Bernstein, LP

Scot Hawthorne is a Vice President at Alliance Bernstein, LP where he is Head of CRM Strategy and Sales Enablement. In his work, he is responsible for bringing together people, process, and technology to grow relationships. Prior to joining AB and moving to Nashville, he spent 26 years in Columbus, Ohio where he met his wife and raised his 2 sons. He has been a regular bike commuter for much of his working life and frequently does charity rides in support of his favorite causes. Looking to grow his local engagement, build new roots in the community, and fuel his cycling passion, upon moving to Nashville Scot sought out organizations he could contribute his skills to. This led him to Walk Bike Nashville where he volunteered and began to engage. As a regular bike commuter, he experiences first hand the transit challenges facing our community. He frequently needs to add upward of 10 miles to his normal 4 mile commute in order to make the trip in safety. Outside of work, Scot is an avid fitness enthusiast with cycling as his main recreation. You can find him most weekends on his bike in and around Nashville.

 

Jose Resendiz, Secretary

Director of Training & Communications at International Scholarship and Tuition Services

Jose is the Director of Training and Communications at International Scholarship and Tuition Services (ISTS) in Nashville, TN. His previous work experience includes working for a global telecom cost management software provider in various roles. This afforded him the opportunity to travel throughout the US and internationally.Living in East Nashville, he and his wife Sarah make use of the sidewalks throughout the neighborhood for their daily walks, while their 2 kids go for a bike ride. Having lived in Nashville for over 20 years, he has seen its growth and the challenges that face the multimodal aspect of safe transportation which contributed to his desire to join Walk Bike Nashville. When not working or volunteering, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching football, and outdoor grilling.

 

 

Justin Bailey

Co-President at Bailey Equipment & Intralogistics

Justin Bailey is the President of Bailey, an industrial equipment and intralogistics company with a 75-year history of providing solutions for complex material handling challenges in the industrial sector. With over 350 employees, Bailey is recognized as Tennessee’s first TRUE certified zero waste business. Before joining Bailey, Justin volunteered with Americorps as an environmental educator on a Korean War-era powerboat in Puget Sound and worked as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. Justin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & English Literature from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master in Business Administration from UCLA Anderson School of Management. He lives in East Nashville with his wife, son, dog, and cat and spends his time outside in motion as much as possible. He developed his commitment to safer streets for pedestrians and cyclists while bicycling across the country with Bike & Build.

 

Andrea Barbour

Planner II at Metropolitan Nashville Planning Department

Andrea Barbour is a Planner at the Metropolitan Nashville Planning Department and currently works in the Community Planning and Engagement section. Her background includes environmental justice, transportation and land use planning including public involvement.

Andrea is a graduate of Xavier University with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Sociology. She obtained a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of Memphis in 2012 and Master of Arts in Strategic Communication from the University of Tennessee in 2020. Andrea is from Kokomo, Indiana and enjoys podcasts, staying active outdoors and gardening.

Neil Fladung

Project Executive at Messer Construction Co.

Neil is a Project Executive at Messer Construction Co. and is responsible for safely delivering large complex commercial construction projects on time and under budget. Neil and his wife Caitlin have called East Nashville home for the past 15 years. In his free time, you will see Neil riding his bike, kayaking, skiing, or hiking around town. Neil is a graduate of the University of Toledo, where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Construction Engineering.

 

David Greaves

Project Manager at Kimley-Horn

David Greaves is a Project Manager at Kimley-Horn, where he specializes in active transportation planning and design. In his work, he has managed the design and engagement of Nashville’s traffic calming program and led bikeway design projects that improve safety and connectivity across the city. As a daily bike commuter from East Nashville, he brings firsthand experience to his work creating safer streets for all users. Outside of the office, David maintains a visual art practice, enjoys gardening, and engages in tactical urbanism projects that bring creative, people-focused improvements to his community.

 

Erin Hafkenschiel

President of ThinkTennessee

Erin Hafkenschiel is the President of ThinkTennessee, a nonpartisan, results-oriented think tank that works to build a state where all Tennesseans are civically engaged and economically secure. Erin has spent her career in public policy, including roles in higher education, municipal government, and philanthropy. Most recently, she was the Executive Director for Mobility and Transportation at Vanderbilt University, where she launched the MoveVU transportation program. Prior to that, she served as Director of the Mayor’s Office of Transportation and Sustainability for Nashville Mayors David Briley and Megan Barry. Erin also has significant experience in philanthropy and consulting through her work with CEA Consulting, the Bay Area Council, and the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation. A U.S. Fulbright Scholar to China, Erin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy of Industrialized Societies from UC Berkeley and a Masters in Public Policy and Urban Planning from Harvard University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Civil Infrastructure Systems at Vanderbilt University.  In 2023, the Nashville Business Journal recognized her as one of Nashville’s 40 under 40 awardees. Erin is the co-founder of Voices for a Safer Tennessee and serves on the board of Walk Bike Nashville and the Moving Forward Coordinating Committee. She lives with her husband and three daughters in Nashville, TN.

 

Katie Harman

Vice President, Enterprise Support at Marigold

Katie Harmon is the Vice President of Enterprise Support at Marigold, and she’s been leading both commercial and enterprise technical support teams within the company for nearly 12 years. She is dedicated to creating an outstanding customer experience, thrives on performance-driven leadership, and is passionate about growing the careers and opportunities for strong performers. Katie has been in the Nashville area for 30+ years and now lives in Hope Gardens with her husband and teenage son, where they love walking, biking, and eating their way around the city! Katie is a part of the Music City Dope Pedalers bike group and rode her 7th Tour de Nash this year.

Ryan Walsh

Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center

Ryan is an Emergency Medicine Physician at Vanderbilt University Medical Center serving as the Director of Procedural Education and Training. Ryan has multiple peer reviewed publications and has received multiple teaching awards throughout his career. Prior to moving to Nashville (his wife’s hometown) in 2017, he spent 8 years in Washington State as an Emergency Medicine doctor in the US Army. After moving to Nashville and caring for pedestrians and cyclists struck by vehicles, he was drawn to the advocacy and work of Walk Bike Nashville.  Outside of work Ryan loves cycling and was able to see all sorts of different transportation infrastructure when he biked across the United States in 2009.  Now he can be seen in the streets of Nashville biking to work, running and cycling for fitness, and out walking with his family. 

 

Natasha Wilkins

Independent Business Consultant

Natasha Wilkins is an independent business consultant who partners with small businesses throughout the Nashville area to help them achieve their goals and strengthen their community impact. As Chair of the WeGo Access Policy Advisory Committee and regular WeGo rider, Natasha brings both leadership and lived experience to her role. She is a dedicated advocate for people with disabilities across Middle Tennessee, championing equitable access to public transit, safe sidewalks, and greenways to ensure a high quality of life for all residents. In her spare time, Natasha enjoys trying out new restaurants, walking in her neighborhood, and playing Goalball with the Nashville Lightning.
