We’re opening downtown streets to people and inviting Nashville to walk, bike, and explore. This is no small task, and with a small team of seven employees, we are in need of some helping hands from the community.
We are looking for volunteers to help us set up the event space, monitor certain sections of the route, be a source of information, and help us make sure the people in the streets know when cars are about to return. These tasks are a huge part of making Open Streets safe and fun for attendees and informative for our organization
Shifts 9 a.m. to noon: will be helping us set up. You will also go out to a specific location on the Open Streets route and do one of three tasks: counting attendees, asking attendees to fill out surveys, or being a source of info and help to the people enjoying the Open Streets)
Shifts noon to 3 p.m.: will go out on the route and relieve the first shift volunteers. Once the event's end time of 2 p.m. gets near, you will help us tear the WBN event space down and make people in the street aware that the streets are about to be opened up back to cars.
These volunteer positions are a rain or shine outside activity. Volunteers will be supplied snacks and refreshments from Walk Bike Nashville.
If you are interested in helping us open up downtown streets to the people, please select the shift(s) you want and RSVP to this event. I will contact you with the full details of your volunteer role.
