This week we're having our annual campaign. We need your help to ensure we can continue to advocate for a more walkable, bikable and livable Nashville.
Open Streets Nashville is a program to activate people, strengthen local businesses, and inspire public places by temporarily closing streets to cars.
At our second Open Streets Nashville, on Sunday, Oct. 30th, over 10,000 Nashvillians filled 12th Avenue South from the Gulch through Edgehill and all the way to Sevier Park. People were able to walk, bike, roller skate, hula hoop and more for over 2 miles of the street without the worry of cars. We saw families riding bikes together, neighbors meeting neighbors, new Nashvillians discovering new local businesses and couples slow dancing in the turn lane as the sun went down.
We want our communities to be active. We want our local businesses to thrive. We want to inspire change in the way we think about our public spaces. We want to continue to grow this program by offering more Open Streets events across the city. Support Open Streets by becoming a member today.
