Bike to School Day

Nashville's 10th Annual Bike to School Day will be May 1st, 2024

2024 Registration Form is LIVE (to be completed by schools)

Bike to School Day encourages physical activity among students, reduces traffic congestion, promotes sustainable transportation methods and teaches bike safety skills. By biking to school, students not only can improve their health but also contribute to a safer, cleaner environment while fostering a sense of community. On May 1st, students are encouraged to roll to school in whatever way that means to them.

We acknowledge not every child has a safe way to bike from their home to school, so consider driving somewhere that does have a safe route, and bike from there.

Here are a few tips to encourage a safe and smooth ride to school:

If your school does not have a bike rack or has one that is in need of maintenance, you can follow these steps to request one.

Our highlight school for 2024 will be NAPIER ELEMENTARY. (Click here to read our blog post about last year's Bike to School Day)

We want to thank Principal Whitney Russell and Community Achieves Site Coordinator Marc Anthony Peek for their commitment to health, safety and education.

Here is the list of schools participating this year. School staff planning to participate- sign up using the registration link above and your school will be added to the list! By registering for Bike to School Day you'll get:
