City Cycling

City Cycling is a workshop designed to increase your confidence riding a bicycle on Nashville's streets and greenways. Aimed at people who already know how to ride a bike, but want to feel more comfortable using their bike to get around town, City Cycling is a great course for anyone who wants to make active transit a part of their life. The course will begin with a brief discussion of how to be ready to ride and rules of the road. The majority of the course will be out around town on bicycles.

Topics include:

  • Is your bike ready to ride? Air, brakes, chain and quick release check.
  • Rules of the Road
  • A bikes place on the road
  • Hand signals
  • Right and left turns in traffic
  • Bikelanes and roadways
