Council Bill 2016-493, the Sidewalk Bill, is before the Metro Council for second reading and public hearing April 4 at 6:30pm. This is one of the last major hurdles towards becoming law.

This bill will begin to turn the tide on the sidewalk deficit, and increase the requirement for the provision of sidewalks during development in Nashville's urban areas. Read more about this bill here.

We need people to show up at the Public Hearing to support this bill.

We need a big crowd there to show that the community cares about this bill.

If you want more sidewalks, we hope you will join us! The meeting starts at 6:30pm. This bill is the first item on the agenda so it should be quick. Wear a Walk Bike Nashville shirt to show you're on team-sidewalks. We'll have buttons for all attendees!

Will you come?
