The Demonbreun Street bikeway between the Music Row Roundabout/Buddy Killen Circle and the interstate/14th Avenue South is one of the most heavily utilized bikeways in Davidson County. Currently, the bikeway consists of buffer bike lanes on both sides of the street, in between a driving lane and a parking area beside the curb. This bikeway is frequently blocked by vehicles, forcing people biking into the driving lane to avoid these obstructions.
For several years community leaders and stakeholders have worked with Metro to identify potential changes to the Demonbreun Street bikeway. The proposed changes reflect this community participation.
