This is a volunteer opportunity for the 2025 Tour de Nash. If you volunteer for this, you will receive a TDN t-shirt along with any other swag given out.

The National Federation of the Blind Nashville Chapter and Achilles are going to enter ten tandems into the Tour De Nash.  They are looking for Pilots and would pay for their rides. This will mainly be for the City and Local tours.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to be trained on riding a tandem from the organization so no worries if you have never ridden a tandem before. They will have pilot training events where pilots will get to ride and work with their blind/low vision partners at the Shelby Bottoms Park Airfield on April 5 and May 10 at 8:00 AM. They’d love for people to be able to attend at least one out of the two training sessions.

This is a high impact volunteer position. This will give a unique opportunity for blind and low vision individuals to experience the joys of tandem biking, while building confidence, independence, and health.
