It's time for Nashville to get serious about bicycling by building out a network of safe, separated/protected bike lanes as recommended in WalkNBike (the city's master bike plan).  The essential next step is protected bikelanes downtown, to provide safe North/South and East/West Routes. These core-connections will help stitch together the city for those on bicycles (or scooters).

The city of Nashville wants to pilot a protected, two-way bicycle/scooter lanes downtown on 3rd Ave and Commerce in Summer 2019. These lanes will be separated from car traffic, and provide a safe place for people to bike or scoot downtown (off of sidewalks!). Information about the pilot and full project is on Metro Planning Department's website here.

We support these lanes!

Walk Bike Nashville is launching a campaign to support these lanes, as they are essential to building out a network of streets that accommodate bicycles and scooters.

We are building a team of supporters to help ensure these lanes are a reality. We'd love to have you join!

Sign up here to get involved in our campaign. We'll send out talking points, updates, notices for upcoming meetings, and occasional calls to action.

Thank you for supporting a better Nashville!
