We're all working hard to maintain social distance during this time, and a great way to cope and relieve stress is riding your bike. Is your bike ready to go? Or has it been sitting in a garage since last season and it needs a little love before pedaling again? We can help! We've got some great resources and recommendations to make sure that you're safely biking again soon.

Before you jump on your bike and take it for a spin, we want to make sure that it is safe to ride. Below are a few videos to help in your initial bike check up:

Is your bike functioning well overall? Watch this ABC Quick Check video to ensure it's running smoothly. The ABC Quick check is essential to getting your bike safe before a ride! This video will explain the process to assess that your bike is safe and working as it should.

Have a flat tire? Watch our very own Jake Lee demonstrate how to fix-a-flat.

Do you have your helmet? Check here for a proper helmet fitting technique video

Also, while riding, we also recommend you take these additional items with you:

  • Helmet!
  • Multi tool
  • Spare tube and repair kit
  • CO2 cartridge or small bike pump
  • Water
  • Lights
  • ID
  • Cash/credit card
  • Cell phone
  • Snack (if you'll be out for a longer ride)

Lastly, several bike shops are open for repairs during this time. Links to the open shops are below! Their hours of operation and shop policies may have changed during the COVID-19 pandemic, so check out their website or give them a call for updated store information. Happy pedaling!
