Special Events

Walk/Bike Nashville hosts several special annual events to promote active transportation in Middle Tennessee.

Tour de Nash

The Tour de Nash is Nashville’s largest tour of bikeways and greenways.

The Tour highlights safe, convenient bike routes through Nashville, encouraging residents to use active transportation to get to work, go out on the town, or just enjoy a great ride.

The ninth annual Tour de Nash will be held on May 18, 2013.

Nashville Bike Month

Nashville Bike Month is four solid weeks of Bike Fun in May. Walk/Bike Nashville and a host of local cycling clubs, shops, and organizations come together to pack the Bike Month calendar with fun events. Bike Month exists to shine a light on how much is happening in the cycling scene in Nashville, with the goal of encouraging Nashvillians to get on their bikes and ride.

Bike to Work Day

As part of Nashville Bike Month, Walk/Bike Nashville invites bike commuters, curious and seasoned alike, to meet up at several locations around town and ride with each other on their way to work.

We serve free breakfast to bike commuters at the Public Square as a reward for choosing an environmentally friendly, healthful form of transportation.

Walk Nashville Week

Walk Nashville Week is Music City’s premier community wide celebration of active living.

This week is packed with fun opportunities for to get out and walk with fellow Nashvillians, featuring events like the Walk for Active Aging, Walk with the Mayor, and Walk to School Day- one of the country's largest events of its kind.
